I post today, because yesterday was Labor Day in the USA and everybody, myself included, gets that day off.

This week, I challenged myself to write a happy song in the key of E minor. Songs in minor keys usually are sorrowful, bluesy-types of songs. However, I wanted to sing a story about an old man’s happy childhood memories told in a singer-songwriter style. Accompanied only by guitars and the sounds of the waves on the beach throughout most of the song, the vocals were inspired by radio vocalists of the late 40s-early 50s, and scratchy old vinyl 78 rpms.

Throw everything from above together in a two and a half minute song, and you have this “experiment” production. I hope you had a great Labor Day, and I hope you like this video.
