Today’s post is about vintage automobiles and today’s racers. They have announced that the first NASCAR race will be next week, but no crowds will be in the stands. Well, it’s all about the speed on television; they put viewers in the driver’s seat and the fans in the stands are a blur to the eye anyway.
Since no decent rocker would not have a song about fast machines, speed racers, or vintage wheels, here is mine. It shows some of the classic automobiles I have had the pleasure to know in my life. The song and video are about the freedom you get with a car, and how nice it is to break the proverbial “chains” that hold you down.
That’s why I have hope — in our people, our country, and our economy. We faced problems in the past and came out the other side better than before. Because we have such a strong, productive nation, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. We can make the wheels better.
