I took these photographs of Tahiti on my first ever cruise ship trip. Because I home-ported in Hawaii, I figured I should take a ship somewhere close, so I took the Paul Gauguin through the Society Islands and Tuamotus. I flew from Honolulu to Papeete, stayed a few days, played some golf, then boarded my ship and off I went.
I never knew how relaxing a ship cruise could be – hands down the best way to see multiple islands. Even after all the physical activity I got on each island by hiking, bicycling, and diving/snorkeling/swimming, I still felt refreshed and ready to go early the next day. Perhaps it’s because everything is taken care of for you. All you have to do is show up!
I will start off my new “Travel” series with today’s video of Tahiti. In coming weeks, I will show you other parts of French Polynesia, then other journeys around the globe. I hope you enjoy them!
