Padre Island National Seashore

Today we discover Padre Island, a national seashore near Corpus Christi, Texas, USA, on the longest chain of undeveloped barrier islands in the world. Here you find sandy sugar-white beaches for tens of miles, sea turtle hatchlings, ship wrecks, sea and shore birds, and one of the biggest hypersaline lagoons, the Laguna Madre. And, within a half a day’s drive, you can visit South Padre Island, Galveston, and other sights along this part of the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the barrier islands!
