Howdy, folks!
It’s fall again, and time to enjoy some of that “purdy” pretty colorful tree, grass and shrub autumn foliage. Wherever you may live in the Northern Hemisphere, the shorter days and cooler temperatures bring changes to our landscapes. These changes include ripening nuts, grass seeds and berries, changing leaf colors, and bustling wildlife action to pack away food, put on heavy coats for the colder weather, or migrate south for the winter ahead. That makes it a great time to be outside in nature.
This video is about the Natchez Trace, a trail from Tennessee to Mississippi that predates most of the trails in the United States. Besides its historic importance to this country, it makes a fun fall “leaf-peeping” tour, and a heck of a hike — 440 miles. If you cannot hike it, you are able to see much of its beauty by car on the Natchez Trace Parkway.
There are numerous trails in your area that wait for your exploration and enjoyment of them this autumn. Get there and be dazzled by the fall dance/party/hoedown in your area!
