As we stay at home, sometimes we begin to feel stir-crazy. If you are bored, I have an idea for you. Learn a song! It doesn’t have to be an original song of yours. It can be a copy, a “cover” as they say in the biz, of your favorite tune. How I made my first music recording is the focus of this week’s video.
In the beginning, I promised you a weekly song and video; a composition that was original. This week I cover a song by Supertramp, “Even In The Quietest Moments (1977)”. It is the first, the original, home music recording I ever made. It was recorded in the living room/kitchen/open concept space with my parents’ tape recorder, the microphones that came with it, and a guitar amplifier.
Today, you can record to a computer, which is so much easier for editing, cueing, everything.. Give it a try! You might really enjoy it. Until next week, take care and stay safe.
