Wherever I travel, I like to view the local art scene. If it be at a museum, an art gallery, or even on a wall, (sometimes,) I take in as much art as I can as part of my travel “sightseeing.” As an enlightening experience, I better understand a culture, a history, and what makes a place unique by what they offer artistically.

Today’s video displays a sampling of what I found in Melbourne, Australia. Of course, it is but a sample, a minute selection, of what I found here. It would take hours, days, even years, to see everything significant, and then there would be new art to explore. At the very least, I attempt to show you in this 2:45 video some of the art you can find in the country of Australia. Enjoy!

Notes from the video:

Song Title:    Silvia’s Spring Fever
Poetic Form:            Kimo, (Israeli)
Rules of the Poem:
Three line stanzas, each a “frozen” image
10 syllables 1st Line
7 syllables 2nd Line
6 syllables 3rd Line
NO RHYMES!

Lyrics:
Brightness rules as rain-filled clouds go away
on a sunny afternoon,
and the young need the sun.

Fantasy droplets on ivy and trees
as birds sing to one another –
lousy place for problems.

Cocooned by books, homework due, how can I
make a contract to maintain
nature’s light in my eyes?
