“It was a dark and stormy night…”
In the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles Schultz, the character Snoopy always began his novels with this phrase. People use it as a beginning to their campfire ghost stories too. Today, I use it to launch the blog for this week’s video, “The Life and Death of a Monster.” It’s a story in music about a “Frankenstein”-like monster that gets “born” and then put to death by the town’s citizens, because evil is not made to survive. Only by sticking together do the townsfolk defeat the monster — words for the wise during these difficult times.
