You know I like to travel, and when I travel, you know I like to visit museums. This post, you get to see not only one, but three fantastic museums in Norway. They highlight some of the best art from Scandinavia.

The first museum is the National Museum of Norway in Oslo. Not only does it showcase the fine arts, (paintings, tapestries, sculptures, etc.,) but it displays the applied arts of woodworking, fashion, ceramics, etc. Also, in Oslo are two outdoor, open-air museums, one of sculptures in the Vigeland Sculpture Park, and the other an historical collection of buildings at the Folk Museum. If I have to choose a favorite, it would be the Stave Church at the Folk Museum, one of 28 surviving wooden churches remaining in Norway. Pitch dark inside, the church comes alive with paintings and wooden carvings when a candle is lit. I hope this video shines a light on your trip to the museums in Norway!
